Albion Online Data Project

Market prices come from the Albion Online Data Project, a third-party community project that collects price observations submitted by players running its client. It is not an Albion Online service, and neither is this site.

Albion Compass is an unofficial fan-made tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Sandbox Interactive GmbH or Albion Online.

What we ingest

  • Buy-order and sell-order price observations for the Europe server.
  • The city, item, tier, enchantment and quality attached to each observation.
  • The timestamp the observation was recorded, kept exactly as received.

Observations are stored append-only. We never overwrite or retro-edit a recorded price, so any figure shown can be traced back to the rows it was derived from.

How it is filtered

  • Freshness — observations older than the configured window are excluded rather than shown as current.
  • Trust — each derived price carries a trust score based on how recent and consistent its underlying observations are. Prices below the trust floor are suppressed.
  • Validation — malformed or implausible rows are quarantined and never reach a calculation.

What we do not have — and do not invent

The feed publishes prices without order sizes. That means several things stay honestly unknown:

  • Executable quantity and order-book depth.
  • Demand volume or any guarantee that a market will absorb your order.
  • Crafting recipes and refining inputs.
  • Gathering yields, node respawn and time-per-hour figures.
  • Item carry weights where none are recorded.

Where a value is unavailable, the interface says “unknown” and explains why. Confidence scores are never converted into unit availability.
